St Columb’s College German Department Enters the Realms of International Diplomacy! Year 13 student Peter Madden, who is currently studying AS German, has recently been selected as a UK-German Youth Ambassador for 2014-2015.

This year we are introducing iPads for all year 8 pupils as a first resource for learning - the text books are gone - but the hardback notebooks remain!  


New Primate of All I...

St Columb's College Alumnus become Primate of All-Ireland! At noon (Roman time) on Monday 8th September, Archbishop Eamon Martin became the 116th Archbishop of Armagh. We congratulate Archbishop Eamon, our former President, colleague and alumnus, and wish him every blessing in the years ahead.


Trip to Munich

Year 10/11 Trip to Munich June 2014 The group of 16 pupils left Derry in the very early hours of June 16th to travel to Dublin airport to spend 6 days in Munich, the beautiful capital of Bavaria (Bayern) in Southern Germany.  


St Columb's Students...

On 1st July a group of Year 13 students from St Columb’s who are undertaking the Pope John Paul II Award took part in the Derry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. The students assisted the sick and elderly pilgrims during the pilgrimage as well as taking part in all of the liturgies and events of the week.
